So, you opened up a business, or you’re thinking about doing so. That’s great! What you’re soon finding out is that you’re searching online, and you can’t find the best cards that relate to business. You want to know why? It’s the economy right now. If you look back into the years of 2006 and 2007, the business credit card was hot, and there were offers, after offers. You could apply, and get approved instantly on the spot. It just isn’t the same anymore for 2009. Now, it will eventually come back to where it belongs because history does take it’s course. So give it time, and yes, they will come back.
In the meantime, you can’t be pessimistic about the future. There are banks out there that still want to lend to you. I wanted to point out a list of banks that you should look into if you’re looking for a list of business cards. These banks have always been great with cards, and I think you’ll have a great chance at snagging one if you’re looking to get one.
Chase Bank: They stopped with the business cards for a while, but they have a nice selection now.
Citi: Citi has always been good about helping small businesses. Sure, they get a bad reputation in the mainstream media, but they really do have some great rewards if you use their card right.
Discover: I’ve always loved Discover. I get great customer service, and their cards are out of this world. A solid financial institution that you can trust.
These 3 banks are the ones that I highly recommend. Now, it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t look elsewhere. You can also check your local banks, and yes, your credit unions. A lot of people today are getting fed up with their corporate banks, and while I don’t have a problem with them, I can see why some people head down to a credit union.
Before you apply, make sure that you check out a few cards, before signing the application page. Look at rewards, the fees, and what other people think of the card. As long as you use your head, and you get a great card, you will be happy with the results.
